Just another night in Pordic

This weekend a friend invited us to her home in Pordic, Brittany. After the 17 roundabouts between Angers and Rennes we made it to her house Friday evening. Friday night was spent drinking on the beach, and then Saturday we ate crepes and hiked by the sea. It started out cold but after all the hills we warmed up.

Fiddleheads!

We stopped for a break at the top of the hill. There wasn't any water but plenty of cider.

Brittany is the first place I've seen 'sticky mickey', a super sticky plant that grows all over the place and provides endless fun

We went hunting for lunch.... none were big enough unfortunately

Afterwards, we went looking for moules marinières but no one would serve us after 3pm so kebabs it was. The next day we made mussels at Fanny's but we were short on ingredients. One of us ran next door and they provided parsley and white wine in exchange for some lunch. I suppose the neighbors are used to it, because not a single market is open on Sunday in Pordic.
